Anne Heche’s Car Crash Is No Longer Being Investigated By Police

On August 5, Heche crashed his car into a Los Angeles home and was hospitalized with burn injuries.

He was then declared brain-dead on 12 August due to a serious brain injury.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department, law enforcement is no longer investigating the car accident that killed Anne Heche.

"As of today, no further investigation will be attempted in this case," the LAPD statement said.

And any information or records requested prior to this turn of events will still be collected as they emerge as formalities and are added to the overall case.

And it was said that when a person suspected of an offense dies, we are not present for filing consideration.

The LAPD previously told Deadline that Heche's case was being investigated as a "felony DUI traffic collision."
